Job Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on developing and improving mechanical systems and metal-based components for advanced aerospace applications. This role oversees project execution, technical strategy, and engineering excellence while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership capabilities with deep technical expertise in aerospace materials, mechanical systems design, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers across mechanical, aerospace, and materials disciplines.
  • Oversee the full engineering lifecycle, including concept development, design, testing, validation, and production readiness.
  • Drive technical strategy for metal structures, mechanical systems, and aerospace component development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, operations, and program management teams.
  • Ensure engineering work meets performance, safety, regulatory, and reliability standards.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation for complex engineering initiatives.
  • Implement best practices in structural analysis, material selection, fatigue and failure analysis, and design for manufacturability.
  • Promote continuous improvement across engineering processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Support customer and stakeholder communication, technical reviews, and design presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in aerospace, precision metals, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in mechanical design, structural analysis, metallurgy, and component testing.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex engineering programs from concept through production.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards, certification processes, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD, FEA tools, and engineering documentation platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple functions and adapt to fast‑paced, technical environments
