The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for:
- Managing the operation of the facility's Waste water Treatment System, including calibrating, procuring, disposing, and collecting performance samples.
- Overseeing the disposal of universal, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting weekly facility inspections, documenting findings, and arranging for clean-up or remediation of problem areas.
- Training employees on waste handling, chemical hazards, pollution prevention, and waste minimization.
The Environmental Specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Environmental Specialist or in a similar position within a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience with waste water management
