Job Title: Export Shipment Documentation Coordinator - Hazardous Materials & Export Compliance

Overview:
This role supports global logistics operations by coordinating and processing domestic and international shipments in full compliance with all applicable regulations. The position requires strong expertise in export/import documentation, hazardous materials handling, and regulatory adherence.

Job Summary:
The Export Shipment Documentation Coordinator is responsible for preparing, managing, and validating export and import documentation for worldwide shipments. This includes handling Shipper's Export Declarations (Form 7525-V) and related classification data, as well as working directly with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Filing export information through the Automated Export System (AES) and obtaining ITN numbers.
  • Determining and applying correct export and import classifications such as Schedule B, HTS, and ECCN codes.
  • Ensuring full compliance with EAR, ITAR, and all applicable U.S. export regulations.
  • Managing shipment creation, tracking, and documentation using carrier platforms including UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
  • Maintaining adherence to hazardous materials regulations in accordance with 49 CFR and IATA guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in export logistics, documentation, or related roles.
  • Current Hazmat certification under both 49 CFR (domestic) and IATA (international) regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of AES, including ITN creation and recordkeeping.
  • Experience collaborating with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Familiarity with SED Form 7525-V, Schedule B and HTS classifications, and ECCN determinations.
  • Working knowledge of EAR and ITAR compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with major carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
Status: Exempt
