Career Opportunity

Our Client, a leading manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a high-volume manufacturing operation in Central California. This executive leadership role carries full responsibility for facility performance, financial results, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the operation, including safety, quality, production, sales support, financial performance, and workforce development. This individual will play a key role in driving profitability while identifying opportunities for market expansion and operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for a manufacturing business unit, ensuring achievement of financial, operational, and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all functions.
  • Develop and execute business strategies that support growth, profitability, customer retention, and operational excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing management team while fostering employee engagement and leadership development throughout the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to identify new business opportunities, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with key customers.
  • Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and operational processes to ensure both short-term execution and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, logistics, operations, quality, and safety to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Manage operating budgets, capital expenditures, and overall business performance to meet profitability targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to ensure sustainable business results.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Packaging, converting, industrial manufacturing, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated success managing manufacturing operations and business performance.
  • Proven experience overseeing budgets, financial performance, and operational metrics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, capital planning, and financial analysis.
