Role Overview

The Global Refinery Team Lead will spearhead process optimization initiatives, manage a diverse team of engineers and refinery managers, and champion best practices in safety, quality, and cost efficiency. This leader will play a critical role in benchmarking performance, implementing strategic improvements, and guiding capital investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a matrix-based team of approximately 25 engineers and refinery managers focused on process improvement.
  • Benchmark refinery performance internally and externally, developing actionable strategies to enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive implementation of refinery practices that prioritize safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Optimize costs through process enhancements and capital projects, including feasibility studies and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with global operations teams to identify and test new technologies and process ingredients.
  • Deliver technical training to refinery engineers through structured sessions and specialized programs.
  • Partner with procurement to develop sourcing strategies for chemicals and ingredients.
  • Travel approximately 30%, primarily within the United States.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will bring a strong engineering background and a minimum of five years of experience in corn sweetener refining or a closely related field. They will demonstrate a passion for safety, technical leadership, and collaborative problem-solving.
