Are you a dynamic sales leader ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a globally recognised Top 10 international freight forwarder, is seeking an exceptional Head of Sales to drive commercial growth across the Veneto region.
About the Role
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high‑performing team of three Sales Executives, while shaping and executing the regional sales strategy. Your primary focus will be the acquisition, development and retention of customers across Air, Ocean, and Road freight solutions.
This is a pivotal role for an ambitious commercial leader with the ability to combine strategic thinking, hands‑on customer engagement, and people leadership to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and empower a team of 3 Sales Executives to achieve and exceed targets
- Develop and implement the regional sales plan for Air, Ocean & Road freight products
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients across the Veneto market
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee strategic tender management
- Collaborate closely with operations, product, and regional leadership teams to ensure best‑in‑class customer experience
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to optimise commercial performance
- Drive accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement within the sales team
About You
- Proven experience in sales leadership within the freight forwarding or logistics sector
- Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of Air, Ocean & Road freight products
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing high‑performing sales teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation & stakeholder‑management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands‑on, customer‑focused approach
- Fluent in Italian; English proficiency required for global collaboration
