The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Head of Technical - Quality, CSR, Production (SDA) to lead the global quality function for a growing portfolio of electrical and small appliance products.

Reporting to group shareholders, this role will play a critical part in shaping and executing the company's quality strategy, driving supplier and manufacturing excellence, strengthening regulatory compliance, and ensuring world-class product quality from concept development through commercialisation and post-market performance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the global quality strategy aligned with organizational objectives and growth plans.
  • Establish quality standards, governance frameworks, policies, and operating procedures across the SDA product portfolio.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, prevention-based quality management, and customer-centric decision making.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing quality organization across multiple regions.
  • Establish quality KPIs, monitor performance, and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Product Quality Management

  • Own product quality throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept and development through production and post-launch market performance.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, Sourcing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality requirements are embedded early in the design process.
  • Drive validation, reliability, safety testing, compliance verification, and product certification activities.
  • Develop and implement quality management plans for new product introductions and innovation projects.
  • Ensure customer and regulatory quality requirements are effectively translated into manufacturing and product development processes.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop supplier quality strategies and performance management systems.
  • Lead supplier qualification, capability assessments, quality audits, and performance reviews.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with OEM and ODM manufacturers to enhance quality performance and manufacturing consistency.
  • Drive supplier corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives and monitor effectiveness.
  • Implement supplier scorecards and continuous improvement programs to strengthen quality performance across the supply base.

Manufacturing & Process Quality

  • Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet company quality expectations and customer requirements.
  • Lead process capability improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and other quality methodologies.
  • Oversee incoming quality control, production inspections, process audits, and shipment quality assurance activities.
  • Lead investigations into major quality incidents and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance & Product Safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable product safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements across global markets.
  • Monitor and communicate emerging regulatory changes impacting product categories.
  • Manage relationships with testing laboratories, certification agencies, and external compliance partners.
  • Oversee product certification programs, factory compliance requirements, and shipment compliance activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive quality management experience within home appliances not limited to SDA and other kitchen appliances or floor care appliances
  • Minimum 5-8 years of leadership experience managing regional or global quality teams.
  • Strong experience partnering with OEM/ODM manufacturing facilities across China and Asia.
  • Proven track record in supplier quality management, factory audits, quality systems implementation, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese
