This role is based at a facility with 150 employees, providing you the opportunity to work in a close-knit, collaborative environment where your contributions will directly influence the success of the organization. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a chance to work closely with site leadership, including direct reporting to the Plant Manager and a dotted-line connection to the corporate HR team.
As an HR Plant Generalist, you will be at the forefront of driving a wide range of HR activities, from strategic planning to hands-on execution. Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a comprehensive array of HR activities and initiatives designed to support the plant's workforce and operational goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead efforts to attract, hire, and onboard top talent to meet the plant's staffing needs. Develop strategies to build a robust talent pipeline and ensure seamless integration of new employees into the organization.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues effectively and fostering a positive work environment. Facilitate open communication between employees and management to maintain high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Identify skill gaps and training needs within the workforce. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee competencies, leadership capabilities, and overall performance.
- Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and implement policies that align with corporate standards and industry benchmarks.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and execute performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
- Strategic HR Initiatives: Partner with corporate HR and plant management to design and implement initiatives that support organizational goals, such as succession planning, diversity and inclusion efforts, and employee retention strategies.
