Position Overview:
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with hands-on experience in lean manufacturing and a deep understanding of steel and metal fabrication processes. This role is critical in optimizing our production flow, reducing waste, and enhancing efficiency across our operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and brings a data-driven, results-oriented mindset to every challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve current fabrication processes, material flow, and plant layout for efficiency and throughput
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and standard work implementation
  • Identify and eliminate waste in processes through root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and design teams to improve fabrication practices and reduce costs
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on improvement efforts
  • Implement ergonomic and safety improvements within the plant
  • Support capital investment projects and new equipment installations with layout design and process optimization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a steel or metal fabrication environment.
  • Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of steel fabrication and quality inspection.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and process simulation software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
