Overview
A leading manufacturer in the advanced materials space is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to oversee Occupational Health programs across multiple U.S. facilities. This is a corporate-level role responsible for implementing, auditing, and continuously improving Industrial Hygiene programs while supporting broader Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and audit U.S. Industrial Hygiene programs and policies
- Conduct workplace monitoring and execute sampling strategies aligned with regulatory requirements
- Manage annual IH surveys, including equipment handling, lab coordination, reporting, and employee notifications
- Analyze IH sampling data against established exposure limits (PEL, TLV, STEL, etc.)
- Recommend and support controls to reduce employee exposure risks
- Assess new materials entering the manufacturing environment and identify potential hazards
- Maintain expertise in material hazards, regulations, and IH best practices
- Deliver training and mentoring to site EHS engineers and manufacturing teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, or related field - OR equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Industrial Hygiene experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and ANSI requirements
- Working knowledge of ventilation systems
- Strong communication, training, and mentorship skills
