Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Industry Manager to drive business growth within a defined industrial segment, focusing on custom AC/DC power system solutions. This individual will lead the full lifecycle of customer engagements-from opportunity development and proposal generation through project execution and delivery.
This role combines technical sales, project management, and customer relationship leadership, serving as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating internally with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, engineering firms, and key stakeholders within assigned industry segments
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share
- Develop and deliver tailored system solutions aligned with customer requirements
- Lead proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiations to convert opportunities into awarded projects
- Forecast short- and long-term sales by customer and industry segment
Project Execution & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead internal project kickoff meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Facilitate customer kickoff meetings and participate in design reviews as needed
- Monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with schedule, scope, and customer expectations
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely production and delivery
- Manage customer communication including status updates, issue resolution, and change orders
Technical & Operational Support
- Develop deep application and industry knowledge to support solution-based selling
- Participate in design reviews, particularly for new or complex system applications
- Support troubleshooting efforts in collaboration with engineering and service teams
- Identify and communicate ongoing service and support requirements
Account Growth & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong post-project engagement to drive repeat business
- Continuously identify opportunities for upselling or expanding existing accounts
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on system performance, improvements, and future needs
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Advanced degree (MBA) or PMP certification is a plus
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or project management
- Experience with industrial power equipment, power electronics, or electrical systems preferred
- Proven track record of managing complex projects or capital equipment sales
