About the Company

DSJ Global is partnered with a growing, international logistics and supply chain solutions provider with a strong presence across Europe and Asia. The business is scaling its operations in the Netherlands and continues to invest in expanding and enhancing its service offering. As part of this growth, the company is looking to strengthen its customs capabilities by hiring a Key Account Manager.

The Role

This is a unique hybrid role combining operations, account management, and commercial responsibility, with a clear focus on customs. Currently, customs activities are managed through external brokerage partners. In this position, you will act as the key link between clients, internal teams, and third-party customs brokers, ensuring a seamless and high-quality service delivery. Alongside operational oversight, you will play a key role in managing client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers on all customs-related topics
  • Coordinate and manage external customs brokers, ensuring compliance and performance
  • Oversee the end-to-end customs process, resolving issues proactively
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on customs matters
  • Identify and drive upselling and service expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, freight, sales) to ensure alignment
  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, and process efficiency
  • Contribute to the long-term strategy of potentially bringing customs capabilities in-house

Your Profile

  • Experience in customs operations within logistics, freight forwarding, or a brokerage environment
  • Proven client-facing or account management experience
  • Strong understanding of Dutch and EU customs regulations and procedures
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to develop existing client relationships
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners
  • Based in the Rotterdam region
