Key Account Manager

DSJ Global is partnering with a leading European temperature-controlled logistics provider to appoint a Key Account Manager to support continued growth across the Italian market. The role sits with a well-established operator within perishables, food logistics, and cold chain transportation, offering integrated warehousing and transport solutions nationwide and cross-border.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic key accounts within temperature-controlled logistics.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across warehousing, transport, and integrated cold chain solutions.
  • Act as a trusted commercial partner to customers within food, FMCG, and perishable supply chains.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers across procurement, supply chain, and logistics functions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract development.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, solutions design, and senior leadership to ensure successful onboarding and service delivery.
  • Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and commercial forums across Italy.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years' experience selling warehousing and/or transport solutions within the logistics sector.
  • Proven background in perishables and cold chain logistics is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, key account management, or hybrid commercial roles.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating within a matrix organisation.

Language & Location Requirements

  • Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Based in Italy; flexibility on location.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly within Italy to support customers and business development activity.
