Logistics Manager
This Logistics Manager position plays a critical role within the supply chain team by providing strategic leadership and driving continuous improvement in processes that ensure on-time delivery to customers. The organization supports a diverse range of industries including automotive, aerospace, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, energy, and more.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of an optimized, multi-site distribution network.
Standardize and improve warehouse processes with a focus on delivery performance, quality, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role.
Demonstrated experience across multiple transportation modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal/rail) for both inbound and outbound operations.
Proven ability in inventory management, logistics compliance, process improvement, and planning.
Knowledge of key logistics metrics and KPIs; experience tracking and using them for performance improvement.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
Expertise in terminal routing and freight cost optimization through lane analysis.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and capable of handling and analyzing large data sets to identify and implement operational improvements.
Familiar with TMS and WMS platforms (SAP required).
Working knowledge of hazardous materials handling and relevant DOT/IATA regulations.
Willingness to travel 10-20%.
