Summary: A Fortune 500 Building Materials Manufacturing Company is looking for a new Maintenance Leader for their Danville, IL site. This is a full time position and will be fully on site.
Responsibilities:
Lead and model a zero-injury safety culture through proactive programs, audits, and employee engagement
Enforce safety standards with KPIs, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment
Educate teams on environmental compliance and safe operational practices, including change management processes
Coach, train, and develop maintenance staff to build a high-performing, collaborative team
Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and manage corrective actions to drive accountability
Develop and implement site-level maintenance strategies using TPM and precision maintenance principles
Manage maintenance operations including work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, and spare parts inventory
Lead capital projects and identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and equipment performance
Collaborate with production and technical teams to align maintenance with operational goals
Reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life through data analysis, root cause investigation, and CMMS use
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Operations, or equivalent professional experience
7+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with leadership in maintenance and reliability
Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge in a proactive, preventative maintenance environment
Proficient in CMMS systems (e.g., SAP) for maintenance planning and execution
Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices and principles
Skilled in condition-based monitoring tools (vibration, thermography, ultrasound, etc.)
Familiarity with reliability tools such as RCFA, HazOp, and Weibull Analysis
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) preferred
Background in controls and automation, including modernizing manufacturing systems
Experience in performance management, employee development, and team accountability practices
