Summary: A Fortune 500 Building Materials Manufacturing Company is looking for a new Maintenance Leader for their Danville, IL site. This is a full time position and will be fully on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and model a zero-injury safety culture through proactive programs, audits, and employee engagement

  • Enforce safety standards with KPIs, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure a safe work environment

  • Educate teams on environmental compliance and safe operational practices, including change management processes

  • Coach, train, and develop maintenance staff to build a high-performing, collaborative team

  • Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and manage corrective actions to drive accountability

  • Develop and implement site-level maintenance strategies using TPM and precision maintenance principles

  • Manage maintenance operations including work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance, and spare parts inventory

  • Lead capital projects and identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency, and equipment performance

  • Collaborate with production and technical teams to align maintenance with operational goals

  • Reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life through data analysis, root cause investigation, and CMMS use

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Operations, or equivalent professional experience

  • 7+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with leadership in maintenance and reliability

  • Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge in a proactive, preventative maintenance environment

  • Proficient in CMMS systems (e.g., SAP) for maintenance planning and execution

  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices and principles

  • Skilled in condition-based monitoring tools (vibration, thermography, ultrasound, etc.)

  • Familiarity with reliability tools such as RCFA, HazOp, and Weibull Analysis

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) preferred

  • Background in controls and automation, including modernizing manufacturing systems

  • Experience in performance management, employee development, and team accountability practices
