Maintenance Manager (M/F/D)
A global manufacturer of high-performance packaging materials for the pharmaceutical, medical device and specialty packaging sectors is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the site's maintenance and engineering activities.
This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for ensuring the reliability, availability and continuous improvement of a complex manufacturing operation producing critical packaging solutions for customers worldwide. The company operates internationally and continues to invest heavily in its production capabilities, technology and long-term growth.
The Role
- Leading and developing the maintenance team, including electricians, mechanics and external contractors
- Driving plant reliability, uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Developing and executing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
- Managing maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory and contractor performance
- Supporting capital investment, automation and equipment upgrade projects
- Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and operational performance
- Supporting root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements
- Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Site Leadership to support business objectives
Your Profile
- Degree, Meister, Technician qualification or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience leading maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems
- Background in packaging, paper, materials, chemicals, food, FMCG, medical devices or other regulated/process manufacturing industries preferred
- Experience implementing preventative maintenance and reliability programmes
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking
- Fluent German and good English
