RESPONSIBILTIES
Responsible for coordinating and directing operation activities and communication in the Maintenance department, including department budgets, scheduling and planning, and efficient manpower utilization and implementation of effective quality systems. Responsible for training and development of human resources, administration of plant policies and procedures, promotion of continual improvement, and all other activities necessary in achieving plant and department goals. Monitors and maintains the safety, health and environmental programs in the area
Preventive Maintenance
- Coordinate with Production managers for machine availability to perform maintenance activities
- Communicate with Production Material Control Planner to assess feasibility of shutting down line.
- Coordinate modifications, fabrications, process changes and training issues with Engineering department
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and technicians during maintenance activities
- Monitor equipment activities
- Communicate with all departments
Predictive and Productive Maintenance
- Coordinate and direct predictive and productive maintenance programs such as tool wear, optimization of uptime, fluid analysis, infrared monitoring and vibration analysis
Building Maintenance
- Coordinate modifications, fabrications, process changes and training with Engineering department
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and technicians during building maintenance activities
- Monitor building maintenance activities
- Oversee outside contractors on building maintenance
- Coordinate maintenance with all departments
Grounds Maintenance
- Oversee minor repair work
- Coordinate maintenance with all departments
Personnel / Department Management
- Participate in hiring process
- Conduct and/or review Maintenance Department employee performance evaluations
- Identify training needs
- Coordinate training activities
- Provide job counseling
- Complete reporting instruments
- Facilitate monthly maintenance meetings
- Communicate with all departments
- Considers the environmental management system requirements, HSEQ policy, and HSE objectives and ensures the resources needed to meet these requirements are available within department
- Ensures the maintenance department contributes to the EMS conformance and desired
Upholds safety & sustainability culture responsibilities
- Perform Tiered Safety Audits
- Perform or support Incident Investigations
- Ensure direct reports are following all safety rules
- Support and execute safety and environmental training
- Perform Behavior Based Safety Observations
- Develop an individual documented Safety and Sustainability Commitment Statement
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Level: Bachelors' degree in related field
- Education Program: Management, Engineering
- Language Requirements: English
