Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a hands-on and strategic Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of their packaging facility in Orlando. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of packaging machinery and facility infrastructure, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Leadership:
Oversee all maintenance activities for packaging equipment, utilities, and facility systems.Team Management:
Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring proper training, performance, and adherence to safety protocols.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Implement and manage maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and extend asset life.Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, environmental regulations, and internal safety standards.Budget & Inventory Control:
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective operations.Project Management:
Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects in collaboration with engineering and production teams.Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- 5+ years of maintenance management experience in packaging or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of packaging machinery (e.g., conveyors, sealers, fillers, robotics)
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
Preferred Skills:
- PLC and automation systems experience
- Lean Manufacturing or TPM certification
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
