About the Company

A well established industrial manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at one of its key production facilities. The organization produces high‑volume, technical products used across commercial, industrial, and specialized applications. The site operates multiple production lines, relies heavily on automated and mechanical systems, and requires reliable equipment performance to meet customer demand.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily maintenance operations and coordinating external contractors.
  • Setting goals, priorities, and performance standards for the maintenance team.
  • Preparing and managing capital project proposals, including ROI and supporting documentation.
  • Planning and executing capital projects within budget, scope, and deadlines.
  • Implementing equipment upgrades, efficiency improvements, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Developing strategic long‑term plans for equipment replacement and capacity expansion.
  • Documenting and standardizing maintenance procedures (SOPs, startup plans, PM documentation).
  • Implementing and improving preventive maintenance programs and inventory controls.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance related to permits, waste management, and facility codes.
  • Filing required regulatory documentation with Federal, State, and Local agencies.
  • Overseeing safety systems, including fire code compliance and emergency response protocols.
  • Managing operating budgets and capital budgets.
  • Developing short‑ and long‑term cost‑containment strategies.
  • Collaborating with operations, engineering, and safety teams to improve reliability and communication.
  • Leading maintenance resources to support production, quality, efficiency, and safety goals.
  • Coordinating special projects and preparing reports, KPIs, and presentations as needed.

The Maintenance Manager will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
  • 5+ years of maintenance and manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience managing multimillion‑dollar capital projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and modify PLC programs (ladder logic).
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to drive accountability.
  • Proficiency with CMMS, spreadsheets, email, and basic computer systems.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments (meters, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, climb stairs, stand/walk for inspections, and move equipment with carts or jacks.
  • Ability to work overtime or variable hours as required.
