Maintenance Planner

Join one of America's leading food manufacturing companies as a Maintenance Planner supporting a high-performing production facility near Kennewick, WA. This is a critical reliability engineering role focused on preventive and predictive maintenance, CMMS optimization, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, GMP-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Utilize Infor M3, CMMS, and planning tools to develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) schedules. Collaborate with operations to minimize downtime and maximize asset uptime.
  • Resource Coordination: Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and documentation. Manage the parts cage and adjust plans based on inventory control and material availability.
  • Work Order Management: Review and validate work orders (WOs) for scope, clarity, and feasibility. Align with stakeholders to ensure maintenance execution meets operational goals.
  • Compliance & KPI Tracking: Schedule regulatory inspections, calibrations, and safety checks. Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, and schedule compliance.
  • Documentation & CMMS Integrity: Maintain accurate job plans, asset history, and job libraries. Ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA, and HACCP standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Industry Expertise: 3-5 years in industrial maintenance, preferably in food & beverage, CPG, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, mechanical fabrication, welding, and processing equipment. Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Reliability & Maintenance Knowledge: Familiar with predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil sampling), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Certifications Preferred: HACCP, SQF, ammonia handling, boiler operation, pneumatics, and CMRP or CRL.
  • Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Experience working in LEAN, TPM, or Six Sigma environments is a plus.
