Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop a skilled team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is essential in promoting safety, optimizing equipment reliability, and supporting plant operations through efficient maintenance execution and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a hands-on leadership style, and a continuous improvement mindset.


Key Responsibilities

Safety & Risk Mitigation

  • Champion a safety-first culture by driving employee involvement, accountability, and hazard identification.

  • Implement risk-based strategies to reduce potential incidents and support regulatory compliance.

  • Provide safety coaching and ensure all maintenance work is performed according to safety standards and procedures.

Team Supervision & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of skilled maintenance employees, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.

  • Oversee daily task assignments, provide clear expectations, and guide troubleshooting efforts.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and manage employee relations in alignment with company policy.

Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Support daily operations by coordinating maintenance needs across production, engineering, and reliability teams.

  • Monitor craft work quality, provide feedback, and allocate resources to support planned, unplanned, and shutdown work.

  • Ensure proper execution of preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Operational Efficiency

  • Assist with identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions to improve safety, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance.

  • Leverage technical resources and site teams to support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.

  • Participate in ongoing site initiatives, including team development, data reporting, and continuous improvement projects.


Basic Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting with direct reports.

  • Hands-on maintenance experience with mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.

  • Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
