Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our second shift maintenance operations at a high-volume distribution or retail facility. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians during second shift.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and emergency repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems (e.g., conveyors, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical) are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment performance.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues.
  • Participate in shift handoffs and communicate effectively with first and third shift supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Food and Beverage Manufacturing experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse or retail distribution setting.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving machinery.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
