Maintenance Training Manager
One of our clients in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is looking to bring on a Maintenance Training Manager to support one of their facilities in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. This person will lead build shop‑floor technical capability by creating and delivering hands‑on, high‑quality maintenance training across mechanical, electrical, and control assets. They ensure knowledge and standards are effectively transferred through structured T&E methodology, working closely with OEMs and cross‑functional teams to support operational goals.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Compensation: $140-150K
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain hands‑on maintenance training programs and materials using adult learning and instructional design principles.
- Deliver and coach mechanical, electrical, and controls training on equipment and in production areas while ensuring safety and standard work.
- Create, organize, and manage digital training content and platforms, including manuals, JBS, assessments, videos, and training databases.
- Build, assess, and sustain maintenance capability through skill matrices, competency evaluations, gap analysis, and train‑the‑trainer programs.
Partner with leadership, OEMs, and pillar teams to align training with site standards, T&E methodology, and operational performance goals.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or 5+ years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience developing and delivering technical training to adult learners, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, standardized practices.
- Strong shop‑floor coaching capability across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines, working directly with technicians.
- Experience with structured training tools (e.g., JBS, skill matrices, competency checklists) and training platforms, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self‑directed, adaptable professional with strong problem‑solving, communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
