Manufacturing Process Engineer

Primary Function / Key Objectives

  • Support the manufacturing organization to ensure efficient operations within the production area.
  • Optimize existing processes to meet production targets across hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly timelines.
  • Monitor equipment, machines, and tools performance, and resolve issues impacting yield, product quality, or compliance.
  • Collaborate with Quality and R&D teams to integrate new products and processes into manufacturing.
  • Ensure manufacturing requirements are met, including utilities and engineering support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage manufacturing equipment and related engineering projects with a strong focus on quality.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products.
  • Ensure effective use of materials, equipment, and manpower to achieve cost-efficient production.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive technical improvements to enhance products or processes for current and future programs.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and updates.
  • Partner with Engineering on installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain controlled, repeatable production processes.
  • Create and update operating procedures for manufacturing activities.
  • Develop and execute qualification and validation protocols.
  • Participate in and/or lead qualification and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify and resolve root causes of issues.
  • Apply business policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
  • Understand customer and business needs and align activities accordingly.
  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or engineering environments (pharmaceutical or similar industries preferred).
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and/or project management practices is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to make quick and effective decisions.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, concepts, and practices.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
