NDT Quality Specialist

Position Summary
A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking an NDT Equipment Maintenance Specialist to support the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment within a heavy manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and maintenance planning activities. The role works closely with maintenance technicians, contractors, and production personnel to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will help drive continuous improvement efforts, support outage planning, and utilize maintenance management systems to track and manage work activities. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in equipment performance, safety, and operational excellence within a highly automated industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for specialized NDT equipment.
- Develop, implement, and improve preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist with maintenance procedures, PM documentation, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes.
- Utilize a CMMS/SAP system to manage maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve equipment and process issues.
- Assign and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
- Provide hands-on technical support to maintenance personnel and contractors as needed.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members on equipment and maintenance best practices.
- Plan and coordinate scheduled outages, shutdowns, and major maintenance events.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 1-3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience working within a heavy manufacturing, metal processing, steel tube, pipe manufacturing, or similar industrial environment preferred.
- Experience with SAP or comparable maintenance management software.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, particularly with specialized testing or inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
