Position Overview
Our Client is seeking an organized and resourceful Parts Coordinator to support its field service and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for coordinating parts orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing materials for service work, and ensuring technicians receive the equipment and components needed to complete scheduled repairs.
The Parts Coordinator will work closely with service, sales, dispatch, and warehouse personnel to monitor order activity, address supply delays, and keep repair jobs moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Create service work orders in the company's operating system and upload supporting estimates and documentation.
- Purchase required parts and assist the service team with identifying and sourcing components.
- Receive incoming materials, verify order accuracy, and place items in the appropriate inventory locations.
- Pull, organize, and stage parts for upcoming service and repair assignments.
- Coordinate local deliveries and pickups, including inventory transfers to off-site locations.
- Maintain accurate bin assignments and support an orderly, efficient warehouse environment.
- Package and ship parts to customers, branch locations, and field technicians.
- Track open purchase orders and follow up with vendors regarding availability and delivery timelines.
- Expedite delayed materials or identify alternate suppliers when necessary.
- Communicate shortages, backorders, and fulfillment concerns to service and sales personnel.
- Notify dispatch and other appropriate team members when all required parts are available for scheduling.
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep and operate a forklift when needed.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with engine, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Demonstrated ability to research and source parts from multiple suppliers.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven service environment.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across service, sales, dispatch, and warehouse functions.
- Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Standard daytime business hours
Compensation
$80,000 to $90,000 annually
