Position Summary
The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of a warehouse and processing facility with approximately 40 employees. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and frontline operations, ensuring effective communication, accountability, and operational excellence across the site.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience managing warehouse, logistics, distribution, or industrial operations environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 20+ warehouse and operations employees
- Drive communication between executive leadership and facility personnel
- Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution activities
- Coordinate daily transportation and delivery schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
- Manage employee performance, coaching, and disciplinary matters
- Improve operational efficiency and workflow processes
- Support customer service and on-time delivery objectives
- Partner with leadership on staffing, workforce planning, and facility performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, recycling, or industrial operations
- Experience managing hourly employees in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Strong employee relations and leadership skills
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations
- Experience with safety programs and workforce management
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with daily operational execution
