Process Engineer

DSJ Global are working with a leading manufacturing organization that are seeking a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will support Operations teams across multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities while partnering closely with Design Engineering to develop, maintain, and implement robust manufacturing methods and processes. This role will focus on driving process safety, efficiency, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Operational and Engineering teams in the development, maintenance, and implementation of manufacturing processes across multiple facilities.
  • Lead and contribute to a variety of projects including process safety evaluations, new process and production line design, process efficiency assessments, process qualification, continuous improvement initiatives, and new equipment acquisition.
  • Create and maintain APQP documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Standard Work, and related process documentation.
  • Perform process qualifications to confirm process stability and the consistent production of conforming products.
  • Develop and maintain process data related to setup times and key inputs to support production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Design manufacturing processes that meet OSHA safety standards and ensure a safe working environment for manufacturing personnel.
  • Align manufacturing processes with customer demand to support efficient and responsive production flow.
  • Implement process improvements based on feedback from production associates and operational performance data.
  • Develop project cost estimates to support capital investment planning and justification.
  • Lead new equipment purchasing efforts, including installation, commissioning, and operator training to establish safe and capable processes.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to support continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and operational excellence programs.
  • Communicate effectively with management and shop-floor teams to convey ideas, drive alignment, and achieve stakeholder buy‑in.
  • Support and uphold all quality, environmental, health, and safety policies, while actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations with a strong understanding of process qualification and improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of APQP tools including PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across functions.
