Seeking a seasoned Procurement Director to lead and manage procurement strategies for Tier-1 suppliers and critical commodities, including battery systems and mechanical components, within the fast-paced consumer electronics sector. This role is pivotal in driving supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Tier-1 suppliers, focusing on batteries, mechanical parts, and other key commodities.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and innovation targets are met.
- Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals across multiple categories.
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Operations to align procurement strategies with product development and production timelines.
- Cost Management & Risk Mitigation
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks
- Ensure procurement practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Promote sustainable sourcing and ethical supplier practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing Tier-1 suppliers and sourcing battery and mechanical components.
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
