Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for optimizing supplier relationships and driving operational excellence? A leading multi-site manufacturing organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations at one of its key facilities.
About the Role
As the Site Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing local procurement activities, developing supplier partnerships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategies with site-level business goals, while continuously improving sourcing processes and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze spend data and trends to identify strategic sourcing opportunities
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract development focused on cost, quality, and delivery
- Prepare and manage RFPs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing strategies
- Conduct financial analysis to assess total cost of ownership and identify savings
- Ensure uninterrupted material supply aligned with production schedules
- Identify and resolve supply chain inefficiencies
- Issue and manage purchase orders based on demand and inventory levels
- Track procurement KPIs and manage supplier scorecards
- Drive local sourcing strategy implementation and compliance
- Monitor market trends and conduct benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions
- Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of procurement experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Experience with cement and aggregates categories is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a technical field
- Proven ability to manage supplier performance and drive cost savings
