Production Manager

This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence by ensuring efficient use of resources, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the overall safety and health of all production employees.
  • Foster and maintain strong employee relations across all plant personnel.
  • Actively participate in and maintain visibility at all production and management meetings.
  • Develop and manage weekly production schedules to meet operational and customer demands.
  • Plan, implement, and delegate production line changes to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Monitor and inspect daily production to ensure compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, cost reduction, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Support and ensure compliance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) programs.
  • Lead, train, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in people and process management, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, data collection, fact analysis, and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred.
