Production Manager

Our client, a global leader in speciality chemical manufacturing, is seeking a Production Manager / Production Coordinator to support manufacturing operations and plant project execution at its Memphis, TN facility. This highly visible role will serve as a key liaison between engineering and production teams, helping ensure the successful implementation of capital projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:
-Serve as the primary point of coordination between engineering and production teams for plant projects and operational initiatives.
-Communicate project objectives, timelines, updates, and operational impacts to production leadership and front line personnel.
-Support the execution of capital projects, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
-Partner with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams to ensure successful project implementation and operational performance.
-Identify and address operational challenges that may impact project execution, production efficiency, safety, or quality.
-Promote best practices in process safety, environmental compliance, and manufacturing excellence while supporting day-to-day plant operations.
-Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive productivity, reliability, and operational improvements.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree required; Chemical Engineering degree strongly preferred.
-Experience within a chemical manufacturing environment is required.
-Background in Production, Operations, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Project Engineering.
-Experience supporting or leading plant projects, capital projects, process improvements, or continuous improvement initiatives.
-Strong understanding of process safety, EHS requirements, and manufacturing operations.
-Ability to communicate technical concepts and project information effectively to production teams, supervisors, and plant leadership.
-Demonstrated success working cross-functionally between engineering and operations organizations.
-Experience coordinating multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
