Title: Production Scheduler / Capacity Planner

Summary
A fast-growing manufacturing and fulfillment organization is seeking a hands-on Production Scheduler / Capacity Planner to manage daily scheduling and labor capacity across high-volume operations. This role serves as the connection point between planning and floor execution, ensuring schedules are built, communicated, and adjusted in real time to meet aggressive ship dates.
This is a highly execution-focused position, split between the production floor and desk-based planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own daily production schedules across multiple departments, supporting 150+ orders per day
- Sequence work by labor needs, work type, and priority to meet service-level commitments
- Develop and manage capacity plans based on labor availability and throughput
- Balance workloads and resolve bottlenecks between production, packing, and shipping
- Maintain strong floor presence to drive execution and real-time schedule adjustments
- Reallocate labor and shift priorities as conditions change
- Track output and efficiency using Excel and internal systems
- Identify workflow and labor inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Coordinate closely with operations, fulfillment, and customer service teams
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or high-volume operations
- Experience in labor-intensive manufacturing, assembly, or fulfillment environments
- Strong understanding of capacity planning and labor balancing
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reporting)
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and on-floor leadership presence
