Position Overview

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Global Chemical Manufacturer who is looking to add a Production Engineer to their brand new site in Newnan, GA. The Production Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support safe, reliable, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role focuses on process optimization, continuous improvement, and maintaining operational efficiency within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality operations across manufacturing facilities.
  • Design, develop, and implement production processes and controls to meet quality standards in a cost-effective manner.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements related to equipment utilization, operating procedures, and system performance.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure alignment with schedules, operational targets, and quality expectations.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs); drive corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Initiate and support Management of Change (MOC) processes to maintain safety, compliance, and operational integrity.
  • Provide technical support during plant startups, shutdowns, and operational events or disruptions.
  • Support non-routine operations, including turnarounds and emergency response when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with chemical processing operations (e.g., reactors, distillation, blending).
  • Familiarity with production planning or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, continuous improvement).
  • Experience leading or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
