We are partnering with a leading industrial manufacturing and engineering organization to appoint a Project Control Specialist to join their team. This is a key project controls position responsible for supporting the successful execution of large-scale capital, manufacturing, and operational projects through cost control, forecasting, schedule tracking, and cross-functional coordination. The role will work closely with project leadership to improve project visibility, drive performance, and support informed decision-making. This role is fully onsite in Vancouver, WA and our client does offer a generous relocation package.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project execution by monitoring cost, schedule, and operational performance across multiple workstreams.
- Maintain project forecasts, budgets, and Estimates at Completion (EACs) while identifying risks and potential variances
- Track project expenditures, supplier costs, and external service commitments against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and project teams to ensure accurate project reporting.
- Support change management activities, including scope adjustments, cost impacts, and forecasting updates.
- Prepare project status reports, performance updates, and executive-level presentations for leadership teams.
Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in project controls, project management support, cost management, program controls, or related functions.
- Experience supporting complex manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction, energy, or capital project environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
Key Skills
- Project Controls: Proven ability to monitor project cost, schedule, and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycles
- Cost Management: Experience developing forecasts, managing budgets, and supporting Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities through project data.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to work effectively with operational, engineering, supply chain, and finance stakeholders.
- Reporting & Communication: Skilled in preparing project updates, performance reports, and executive-level presentations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to proactively identify project challenges and support corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
