Project Engineering Lead (Plastics / Metals)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Lead (Plastics /Metals) to join our dynamic team in R&D and Project Engineering. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical and commercial aspects of new product development, supplier management, and strategic purchasing for innovative projects, including E-Bike solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project development for beauty packaging, from design feasibility to production launch.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to translate aesthetic concepts into functional packaging solutions.
- Manage supplier sourcing and qualification for metal and plastic components, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, metal stamping, die casting, and surface finishing.
- Conduct cost analysis, budgeting, and timeline planning to meet project objectives.
- Support rapid prototyping, material selection, and technical validation.
- Ensure adherence to quality systems and regulatory requirements throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in project engineering within packaging or consumer goods, ideally beauty or luxury sectors.
- Strong knowledge of metals and plastics manufacturing processes (injection moulding, die casting, stamping).
- Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks etc) and project management systems is desired.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- Fluent in English; Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.
