Project Manager
Summary:
Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of assigned projects to ensure objectives are achieved within established timelines and budget constraints. This role involves hands-on leadership and collaboration across departments to deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Process bid requests in coordination with Business Development and Estimating teams.
- Review and prepare estimates including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
- Validate proposals before client submission.
- Analyze project plans to determine schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
- Collaborate with Project Controls to establish and manage budgets.
- Lead project kick-off meetings and communicate schedules across teams.
- Develop work plans and staffing schedules for each phase.
- Coordinate vendor subcontracts and material procurement, including purchase requisitions.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to project team members.
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with schedule and budget.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve project-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with relevant agencies.
- Manage change orders and contract modifications.
- Resolve outstanding issues to facilitate timely payments.
- Conduct project close-out evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10+ years in a related field).
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with piping or structural design platforms such as SpoolFab or Tekla/Tekla EPM preferred.
- Familiarity with ASME and/or AISC fabrication quality programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and thorough.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, project management, and customer service.
- Adaptable to changing environments and committed to quality and continuous improvement.
