Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment, components, and processes meet established quality standards. This role works closely with production, engineering, and service teams to perform inspections, address quality concerns, maintain compliance documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on newly manufactured equipment and assemblies throughout various stages of production.
- Verify products meet customer specifications, internal quality requirements, and documented manufacturing standards.
- Review inspection reports, quality records, and production documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a resource between manufacturing and engineering teams to communicate design changes, product updates, and technical requirements.
- Assist with dimensional and quality verification of machined and fabricated components as needed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection methods, and testing processes.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with company procedures.
- Support compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate product quality concerns, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and training to manufacturing personnel regarding quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on product quality, process efficiency, and operational performance.
- Communicate inspection findings, trends, and recommendations to supervisors and leadership teams.
- Assist field service and installation teams with equipment startup, commissioning, and customer support activities when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection methodologies, and process control techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience using electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Proficiency with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with standard business software, databases, spreadsheets, and quality management systems.
