Quality Director

DSJ Global is working with a rapidly growing leader in the wellness beverage industry, dedicated to creating innovative, science-backed products that promote health and well-being. The Quality Director will oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of product safety and consistency. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust quality systems aligned with FDA, cGMP, HACCP, and other applicable regulations.
• Lead QA/QC activities, including raw material testing, in-process checks, and finished product release.
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support new product launches and process improvements.
• Oversee vendor qualification and compliance with quality standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
• Build and mentor a high-performing quality team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within beverage, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, HACCP, and SQF standards.
• Proven leadership experience with cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with botanical or herbal ingredients - preferred
• Knowledge of additional standards such as USDA Organic, CA Prop 65 - preferred
• Certifications in quality (e.g., ASQ CQA or CQE) - preferred
