Quality Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive quality systems, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 9001 standards. This role is critical in ensuring product and process compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 9001 standards across all quality processes.
• Lead and support internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Supply Chain) to resolve quality concerns.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Work Instructions.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
• Conduct supplier quality assessments and support supplier development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
• Proficient in problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
