Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems to ensure that heavy machinery products meet internal standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on problem-solving, process improvement, and compliance with industry regulations, contributing directly to product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and audits of components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for quality issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
- Support supplier quality activities, including evaluations and incoming material inspections.
- Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D to analyze data and drive improvements.
- Assist in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within heavy machinery or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis software.
