Quality Engineer

Overview:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards within a heavy machinery manufacturing environment. This role focuses on implementing quality control measures, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and inspection plans for components and assemblies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct audits of manufacturing processes and supplier facilities to ensure compliance with ISO and industry standards.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports on trends, defects, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in training production staff on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within heavy machinery or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
