Quality Engineer
Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and reliability throughout the manufacturing process of heavy machinery. This role focuses on implementing quality standards, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and documentation in compliance with ISO and industry standards.
- Perform inspections and audits on components, assemblies, and finished products.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and lead root cause investigations for non-conformances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support supplier quality programs and assist with vendor qualification and audits.
- Utilize quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma) to improve processes and reduce defects.
- Prepare reports and communicate quality performance metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within heavy machinery or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in quality tools and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
