Quality Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across production processes. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams-design engineering, operations, and supply chain-to ensure compliance, optimize processes, and deliver exceptional product quality. You'll also play a key role in problem-solving, implementing best practices, and supporting new product introductions.

This is an on-site position based in the greater Omaha.NE area, with up to 50% travel.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement quality processes and documentation.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between QA, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma and LEAN principles.
  • Define quality processes for new product launches.
  • Interface with customers and auditing agencies to resolve nonconformance.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics to meet operational goals.
  • Occasionally perform fieldwork, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying conditions.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Background in quality assurance/control within manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods (SPC, capability analysis, sampling plans).
  • Proficiency with MiniTab or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and project leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Metals manufacturing experience, including structural welding.
  • Familiarity with AISC, ISO, and DOT standards.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or higher.
  • NDT experience (VT, MT, UT).
