Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the quality assurance strategy across all stages of heavy machinery manufacturing. This role ensures that products meet internal standards and customer expectations while complying with industry regulations. The manager oversees quality systems, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and leads a team of quality engineers and inspectors to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO and industry standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for product and process issues.
- Manage internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
- Monitor key quality metrics and report performance to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Oversee supplier quality assurance and incoming material inspections.
- Train and mentor quality team members to build technical and leadership capabilities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in quality management within heavy machinery or manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience and strong knowledge of quality tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and team-building skills.
