Quality Manager
Overview:
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory standards within a heavy machinery manufacturing environment. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees quality assurance processes, and leads a team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage quality control programs, procedures, and standards for manufacturing operations.
- Oversee inspection and testing of components and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for quality issues.
- Manage internal and external audits, including ISO and industry-specific certifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
- Monitor key quality metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor quality team members and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in quality management within heavy machinery or industrial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma), and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
