Quality Supervisor
A produce processing facility in the greater Kennewick, WA area is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards in food safety and product quality. As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet rigorous safety and quality standards. You will lead a team of quality control technicians, oversee daily quality operations, and collaborate closely with plant leadership to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and manage a team of Quality Control Technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
- Conduct analytical assessments of products to ensure safety, consistency, and compliance.
- Monitor and interpret quality control data; generate reports and communicate findings to senior leadership.
- Perform routine hygiene audits and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
- Support the development and enforcement of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate processes and improve quality systems.
- Serve as a key liaison between the quality department and plant management on all matters related to food safety and compliance.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing quality assurance role.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring QA/QC teams.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills. (Ability to speak Spanish is a bonus!)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a dynamic production environment.
