Quality Technician (2nd Shift)

Position Summary
A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Technician to support food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within a production environment. This individual will perform product testing, monitor quality systems, investigate non-conformances, and help ensure products meet customer, company, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have prior quality experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the food industry, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits and equipment calibrations
- Support food safety programs and quality management systems
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Review production and quality records for accuracy and compliance
- Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory compliance
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Perform testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Accurately document results and maintain quality records
- Monitor testing equipment and assist with troubleshooting when needed
- Support production line and equipment validations
- Escalate food safety or quality concerns as appropriate
Health & Safety
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures
- Contribute to a safe and compliant manufacturing environment
- Perform duties safely while supporting production and quality objectives
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Assurance experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
- Food manufacturing experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Chemistry, or a related field
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and microbiology principles
- Familiarity with certifications and regulated food production environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a food manufacturing environment with common food allergens and ingredients
