Refrigeration Technician | Advanced Food Manufacturing | Allentown, PA

A leading innovator in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician to support operations at their cutting-edge freeze-drying facility in Allentown, PA. This role is essential to maintaining mission-critical refrigeration systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational reliability across the plant.


Shifts Available:
Friday- Monday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $35-$45/hr (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance Leadership: Monitor and report any conditions impacting team member safety, product integrity, or food safety. Champion a culture of proactive risk mitigation and regulatory adherence.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex issues and perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, HVAC units, building infrastructure, and utility systems.
  • Downtime Reduction: Execute timely repairs on production equipment to ensure maximum uptime, workflow continuity, and production efficiency.
  • Work Order Execution: Complete planned and unplanned maintenance tasks with precision, while providing clear and timely feedback to operations teams.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records to support audit readiness, compliance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in refrigeration maintenance, with journeyman-level training, apprenticeship certification, or equivalent technical background.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced troubleshooting skills in refrigeration systems; strong proficiency in interpreting electrical and refrigeration meters.
  • Certifications: Valid U.S. EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Systems Knowledge: Basic understanding of instrumentation, control logic, and automated systems in a manufacturing environment.
